Before reporting a problem

1. Confirm the link is a public youtube.com or youtu.be video.
2. Confirm ChatGPT's Chrome access is installed, enabled, and permitted.
3. Open the video normally and check whether YouTube offers “Show transcript.”
4. Try the request once more if YouTube or Chrome temporarily failed to load the page.

Common messages

No transcript: the video is public, but YouTube does not expose a caption track for it.

Unavailable: the video may be private, removed, region-limited, or otherwise inaccessible.

Browser permission unavailable: ChatGPT could not access Chrome. Enable the Chrome capability in ChatGPT settings and retry.

Incomplete transcript: the full transcript could not be verified, so the plugin declined to make whole-video claims.

Report an issue

Include the public video URL, the exact error message, and the approximate time of the request. Do not send passwords, cookies, or private video links.
